Website - Your Story
We want to get to know you better… you know, what makes you tick, or what makes you ticked off. We’ve noticed that it’s easy for Christians to act like they’ve got it all figured out, but we know that’s not true. We want to learn what you have to teach us, and maybe teach you something new as well. Or else we can just sit down with a good cup of coffee, and hang out for awhile. So what’s your story? Just add a comment to this blog... you don't have to register or anything. Comment anonymously if you like.

Is there any better way to label those of us who aren't in your church clique than "non-churchgoers"? Why do we have to be identified by what we are not? If you're trying to make friends with people like me, defining us primarily by how we are different from you probably isn't the best way to go about that. Also, just curious, but wouldn't the people who don't like going to church also likely be non-churchgoers? I guess there are people who do the routine every Sunday even though they don't like it, but that doesn't make too much sense to me.

That's a VERY good question. I have wrestled and wrestled over a better term... because I don't see "non-church-goers" as negative or opposite people. Many of them are living life more fully than many church-goers. All I can say is that I'm open to suggestions.
One friend of mine suggested "other-believers". But I didn't care for that because it sounds like "other believers". Also because I didn't want to divide people up by belief.
Which brings me to the point that those who are Christians but don't like going to church actually ARE directed to the non-church-goers page.
Some other things that I believe need clarificiation. I don't intend to communicate "cliquishness". The four separate home pages are simply for the purpose of more accurate communication, and to show people that it doesn't matter whether you're a Christian, or go to church, or are part of The Core, when you come to our website, you're in the right place. Thanks for the comment... please let me know what other impressions you have.
