the Mission of The Core is to help people connect with God and with one another through whole-life relationships, and to engage them in the mission of God in the world.

the movement - The kingdom of God is a movement, not an institution, not an organization.  For this reason, structure must always submit to the Spirit.  Our goal is to invest ourselves in every believer to develop him or her as an instrumental part of God’s story. 

center-city - It is our vision to see center-city Springfield transformed by the visible work of God through The Core.  We believe this will happen as we spread ourselves throughout the community as an dynamic network of home churches.

western culture - It is our vision to see the landscape of the Western Church transformed from a modern, objective, logic-driven, money-obsessed, bureaucratic institution to a historic, artistic, organic, passionate, Spirit-driven, joyous, Kingdom-obsessed movement. 

the nations - We expect to regularly train up and send out full-time missionaries to plant churches around the world.  We are on a mission, not only to our own community, state and nation, but to everyone who has not been engaged with the Gospel of Jesus.
