The Core hosts a bi-weekly event every first and third Saturday called "Open Mic Night" at the Front Porch, 310 South Avenue. Everyone is welcome, so come as you are, and bring an instrument, song, poem, monologue, or just a listening ear. Open Mic Night will recur the first Saturday of each month.

But keep in mind... this is not just any open mic. The whole world has come to believe that the only way to be heard is to be funny, talented, sexy, or at least interesting. But we believe people should be heard simply because they're there. So say what's on your mind... and don't be surprised if people actually listen.
